Getting going

It is always nerve racking starting up any creative project and "Man Story" is no different.  It is early in the process and it is always difficult to settle down emotionally in order to decide and create.  Decisions are always paramount and usually settle things down where one can concentrate.

The creative process is an overfilled bag of directions, misdirections and unfocused futures, only decisions start it down a path.  The path will always change always grow, but the difference between a good story and one that doesn't work is focus.  Never lose focus of the ultimate idea and goal.  The initial inspiration should never be mired in the Minestrone soup of too many ideas.

Finally designing

These are very preliminary and very rusty sketches.  Haven't picked up a pencil in a while and boy, do I miss it.  Tablets, Cintiq, Wacom, and the best drawing programs have nothing on the old wooden stylus.  Will continue working on the look of this film, like always, it is a process.

This is an animated experience

Today is March 2, 2012, and although I have taxes to jot down, record, rummage through, etc. I think it is time to get this started.  "A Man Story" is another of several animated films by Gavrilo Gnatovich.  Big Gav has made several films and pilots through out his cream filled career, including Lazar, and Longhair and Doubledome.  So this blog will be dedicated to the pre-production of this film and hopefully wrapping up with its premiere and run.
